We have 23 more days to raise the funds for Ed Walks. And to demonstrate my total commitment to this project, I will be doing two — count em, two — trial walks this week. The first trial walk will be on Tuesday, where I will walk 21 miles east from Brooklyn, New York to the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, New York in an attempt to meet and interview the astronaut Jerry L. Ross. Ross has spent quite a good time walking in space and it is my hope that will have some helpful hints on how to walk 3,00 miles across America.
The second trial walk will be on Friday, where I will be walking 21 miles from Staten Island, New York to Thomas Edison National Historical Park in West Orange, New Jersey. There will be live tweeting, audio, and lengthy reports — along the lines of my adventures from Manhattan to Sleepy Hollow. Please consider donating to Indiegogo if you can! Thank you!
