Trial Walk #1: Manhattan to Sleepy Hollow

headlessbridge

Tomorrow, I’ll be walking from the top tip of Manhattan to Sleepy Hollow, New York. This village was previously known as North Tarrytown, until residents voted for the Washington Irving nominal makeover in 1996. It’s about an eighteen mile journey, but I’ll be talking with many people along the way, as well as live-tweeting and updating this site. I have been informed that there is a Headless Horseman Bridge. This could very well be a trap, but I intend to take up the matter with the good people of Sleepy Hollow.

This prototypical peregrination should provide a sneak preview of the big amble to come on May 15th. If you haven’t yet contributed to the Indiegogo campaign or you’re still not quite sure about this project, I’m hoping that the trial walk will give you a better idea of what I have in mind. I may be doing another one next week, schedule permitting. And thanks to all who have contributed so far!
